Part 2, Lola's 80th Birthday

And now for the rest of the story...

Part 1, Lola's 80th Birthday

At long last, I have the video prepared from Mama's 80th birthday party when we were in the Philippines last spring. I've uploaded it to my You Tube account here, but you can see it here. I had to break it into two parts due to the length of it. I'm very happy with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy it too.

Our Trip Was Great

Well, it seems hard to believe, but our trip to the Philippines and Hong Kong has come to a close already.

We had an amazing time. Much has changed in Bacolod since our last visit 10 years ago. I won't elaborate here. I'm currently working on preparing our pictures and video so that I can present a better view of our experience.

In summary though, we spent time in Bacolod (Philippines) where we put on a big party to celebrate Cora's mother's 80th birthday.

It was the first time in 24 years that all of Cora's siblings were together. An awesome moment to be sure. I captured as much of it as I could on film too. Following our time in Bacolod, we spent one night in Manila at the Edsa Shangrila hotel. That's another story...

Then we went to Hong Kong where we spent 4 days (3 nights). Sadly, the weather was not very favorable, however we still had a great time. What an amazing place. I've never seen anything like it. An ultra-modern city adjacent to relatively primitive settings. Definitely there is a lot more there than we could experience in a few days.

I'll post more as I get the pictures ready. The kids kept fairly good journals, so I may draw upon their entries to make sure we cover as much detail as possible.

Stay tuned...
