President Gordon B. Hinckley

We were all saddened last night when we learned of the passing of President Gordon B. Hinckley. We felt a close endearment to him, even though none of us has actually met him. When the news came over the T.V., the girls were deeply and visibly moved, even to tears. Interesting how you can love someone so much, even though you have never really met him in person.

We all have very fond memories of him and how his ministry has affected our lives. We will all miss him. We know this is all part of the plan for everyone's life, but we still mourn his passing. At the same time, we rejoice in our hearts at the loving reunion that must have taken place beyond the veil. Life does not end with the death of the body. Our spirit is eternal and cannot die. Of this fact I am certain.

Our prayers join with the rest of the church and much of the world in extending our hear felt condolences to President Hinckley's family. May God bless you all and bestow His peace upon you at this time of sadness.
